“So there is no rule…”

I do not follow a set ‘rule’ or ‘approach’.

Rather the focus is you and we will always operate within the parameters of what you want and where you want to go. You are of paramount importance and I encourage you to express your wants and desires without reservation or apology.

There are many different approaches to working in a coaching relationship and these change every time I work with someone new.

The word ‘coaching’ often conjures up slight vagaries on what this actually is. Is it therapy? Is it mentoring? Is it about careers advice? It is none of these. In coaching we will always work towards an outcome or goal and within this there maybe some therapeutic effects. However, it is important to understand that this is not therapy. You might feel stuck in your job. You might want to a better work / life balance. You may feel ‘stuck’ in some way but do not know how to articulate this. Our work together will be a process of unpicking and unearthing the solutions you require in order to move forward in your life with clarity and focus. The end result of our work together is sustained behavioral change.

We will always work towards a goal.

“What electrifies and enlivens your own heart..?”

So what does enliven you? Ask yourself the question right now. You don’t necessarily need to have the answer straight away but it is important to ask the question. Have you ever given yourself the time and space to really ponder this type of question? One of the first things I will offer you is exactly that: time and space. You may not at this point know the solution to the challenges you face but you certainly hold the solutions and that is important to know. Our work together will be a process of ‘uncovering’ to get right to the essence of who you are, what you want and most importantly how you are going to get what you want.

Wake. Come on a trip. There is a whole aspect of your consciousness, your being, that’s not been touched. So you’re at home here? Well there’s not enough of you there. And so it starts...
