far away into the bluebird night
is a mighty thing that might save us;
down under the bridge it sits
poking matches under its fingernails...
it laughs when we weep,
it weeps when we laugh;
it waits with us.
— Charles Bukowski

Before training as a coach I was a professional actor, writer, drama teacher, facilitator, tutor and mentor....

I spent four years as a one-to-one tutor and mentor for young people excluded from mainstream education. I have also worked in secondary schools running and facilitating workshops promoting healthy relationships and raising awareness around the issue of domestic violence.

My work with adults has extended from running team-building workshops to working with those recovering from mental illness.

For well over 15 years I have also worked as an actor in various stage productions as well as most recently writing and performing my own one man play, ‘WAKE’.

To tell you a little bit more about me…

I have a particular love of blues and soul music from the 1950s and ‘60s and I also play the piano. I grew up on a farm in a village on the outskirts of Reading which has given me deeply held connection to all things countryside. All the pictures you see on this website are from where I grew up.

In the heart of a man
There sleeps a green worm
That has spun the heart about itself,
And that shall dream itself black wings
One day to break free into the beautiful black sky.
— Galway Kinnell
